A low-nitrogen, low-sulphur alkaline phenolic binder engineered for steel, stainless steel and manganese steel no-bake moulding — built for low odor, clean strip-off and repeatable strength, batch after batch.
Ester Cure Alkaline Phenolic (APNB) is a two-component, water-based no-bake binder system — a modified alkaline phenolic resole (Part I) cured with a liquid ester co-reactant (Part II). Unlike acid-catalysed no-bake systems, it cures under alkaline conditions, which keeps nitrogen and sulphur content low and makes it a preferred choice wherever pinhole and gas-related defects need to be tightly controlled.
At BR Chemicals, every batch of our Alkaline Phenolic Ester-Cured resin runs through in-house testing for viscosity, solid content and reactivity before dispatch, so your moulding floor gets the same bench life and strip time on shipment after shipment.
An alkaline-cured system chosen where fume control, casting finish and alloy sensitivity matter most.
No acidic fumes at mixing or pouring — a noticeably cleaner moulding floor compared to acid-cured phenolic systems.
Low nitrogen and sulphur levels reduce pinhole risk — suited to steel, stainless steel and manganese steel castings.
Predictable tensile and compressive strength development for dimensionally accurate, defect-free castings.
Controlled cure profile supports easy shakeout without compromising green or cured strength.
Water-based, alkaline (above pH 7) modified phenolic resole resin — the base binder component.
Controls cure speed and gel time — grade selection lets you dial in bench life for your process.
A self-setting mould/core system with clean release, low emissions and dependable strength.
